Daddy, You’re My Hero! and Mommy, You’re My Hero! were the first children’s books written to help children coping with deployment. There are lots of copy cats since then, but we prefer the original in our house! We bought it when my son was 4 (4 years ago) and he still loves it.

What a great idea. My son has been continually deployed-3 times to Iraq and twice to Asia. It’s been really hard on his 7 year old.
